Lotus on Track are hosting their final UK track day of the year on Saturday the 10th of December on the classic Goodwood Circuit in Sussex, and there are just 4 places still remaining.
Goodwood is near unique amongst circuits in that it’s layout remains untouched since the golden age of motorsport in the 1950’s and 60’s, allowing drivers to tackle the same course which has been graced by motorsport legends such as Graham Hill, Jim Clark and Stirling Moss.
Lotus on Track run the day as a semi-open pitlane event, with just 10 cars on track at a time. Drivers should be aware that Goodwood has strict noise limits, with a 98dB static test and 96dB drive-by detectors.
The day is priced at £165 and can be booked through the Lotus on Track site.

Day 2 of the Abu Dhabi young driver test and 18 year old Estonian racing driver Kevin Korjus was driving the LRGP R31 today, making his debut in an F1 car after an impressive first season in Formula Renault 3.5 which saw him take 3 wins including his second race in the series – making him the series youngest ever race winner.
Kevin: “It was very much a learning day for me – my first chance to drive the R31. The main priority was to give me a little bit of assessment; I gradually built up my confidence, and then by lunchtime I was feeling pretty comfortable with things. I was looking forward to doing some hard laps, but I must say it was really hard especially for my neck, physically and to learn all the buttons, and to do everything at the correct time. It is very different from the World Series.
Sounds like one to watch out for in the future.

How did you enjoy stepping into the R31 for the Abu Dhabi young driver test today?
RW: I’m pleased with what we achieved today. I learned so much with everything, and Lotus Renault GP did an amazing job. The car really feels fantastic to drive.

Bruno Senna has had a turbulant few years in F1, from narrowly missing out on a chance to drive for Honda (later Brawn GP) in 2009 and a debut season with the tail-end HRT team it looked like Senna’s F1 career could be short lived until the Lotus Renault GP team took him on as a reserve driver for 2011 and later brought him in mid-season to replace Nick Heidfeld.
RACER have an excellent piece online looking at how despite little experience racing in karting he rapidly progressed from a car racing debut in Formula BMW in 2004 to the top flight today, and why he deserves his place there on merit and not just because of his famous uncle.
We’re also extremely interested in how you feel the young Brazilian has done over the last 5 races, if he deserves his place in the top flight of motorsport, and what you believe 2012 holds in store for him, so be sure to have your say in our forums…
