Last year Snows Group put plans to open a new Lotus dealership in Hedge End on hold, citing concerns around “uncertainty surrounding Lotus”. Now however the company has decided to press ahead with the opening of the new Lotus dealership near the south coast alongside it’s existing Toyota and Lexus franchises, with work starting towards the end of March. You will remember last Autumn I wrote to you advising that the Snows Motor Group had delayed pursuing the proposed expansion with the Lotus franchise at the Hedge End facility due to the negative press that Lotus cars were experiencing and the mounting speculation about the brands future.

Last week the Snows Group met with the CEO of Lotus cars, Aslam  Farikullah and over the period of an hour or so discussed the plans and strategies of the Company moving forward, following the injection of significant investment from the parent company DRB-Hicom. It was clear that Lotus Cars are back on track and moving forward and Snows believe the timing is right for the Group to embrace the opportunity that Lotus presents and are therefore progressing with the Lotus Hedge End opening.

With signs scheduled to be installed in late March, showroom and demonstrator vehicles arriving shortly and the New Exige S being on the road over the next few weeks, things are going to be moving at a pace.
