EVO Magazine have posted exerts from an exclusive interview with Lotus Cars CEO Dany Bahar discussing the DRB-Hicom buyout of Proton and it’s impact on Lotus’ car development programme.
As a result of the development freeze the launch dates for the Exige S and Evora GTE have both been pushed back, along with delays of up to 6 months for the new Esprit model.
When asked about the likelihood of DRB-Hicom continuing with the current Lotus business plan, Bahar gave an answer of “I really hope they will but I cannot call it at the moment, it’s still 50:50.”
